EV Charging Infrastructure Division
Washington, DC & Maryland
A and E Construction LLC coordinates EV charging construction and site development from initial assessment through electrical make-ready, civil work, installation, commissioning and long-term support. We help owners turn a charging concept into a buildable site plan, then manage the field work and handoffs needed to put equipment into service.
Core Services
A and E coordinates the following construction and delivery work for EV charging projects:
- EV site assessments and feasibility
- Electrical make-ready
- Utility coordination
- Underground conduit and trenching
- Concrete pads, pedestals, and bollards
- Signage, striping, and parking modifications
- Level 2 charging infrastructure
- DC fast-charging make-ready
- Network integration
- Testing, commissioning, and turnover
- Preventive maintenance and expansion
- General contractor field execution
EV Site Assessment & Feasibility
Start with the property, not a charger catalog. We review the proposed parking layout, access, existing electrical service, potential equipment locations, trench routes and phasing. A site assessment helps identify utility, permitting and construction questions before a final scope is set.
Electrical Make-Ready & Utility Coordination
Coordinate service capacity, distribution equipment, panel work, metering and the utility interface with the design and electrical teams. The make-ready scope is tailored to the selected equipment and the site's available power.
Underground Conduit, Trenching, Concrete Pads & Bollards
Build the physical path and protected mounting locations for reliable charging: excavation, conduit, restoration, equipment pads, pedestals, bollards, signage and parking modifications as the site requires.
Level 2 & DC Fast-Charging Infrastructure
Support workplace, residential, destination and fleet charging programs, including Level 2 installation and DC fast-charging make-ready. Charger choice and power requirements are confirmed during project design.
Charger Installation, Energization & Commissioning
Coordinate equipment placement, electrical connection, inspection, utility energization, functional testing, network activation and owner turnover with the responsible licensed trades and equipment partners.
Preventive Maintenance & Expansion
Plan for access, serviceability and future stalls while building the first phase. A and E can coordinate inspections, repairs and expansion work as charging needs change.
Fleet, Multifamily, Dealership, Parking, Retail, Hotel and Commercial Applications
Different sites call for different operating plans. Fleet depots may need overnight charging and staged expansion; multifamily properties may require shared access and billing coordination. Dealerships, parking facilities, retail centers, hotels, fuel and convenience sites, commercial properties and public facilities each have their own traffic, protection and uptime needs.

Planning Details That Shape Your Project
Site conditions, charger selection, utility capacity, permits and network requirements determine the final design. For an assessment conversation, share the property address, planned number of charging spaces, preferred charging speed, any existing electrical drawings and your target opening date.
Request an EV Site Assessment
Tell us where charging is planned and what the site needs to accomplish. We will discuss the next practical steps for scoping construction and utility coordination.
Describe your site Call (202) 746-0659Public EV Project Outlook
Commercial, multifamily, fleet and public-sector owners are evaluating charging as part of facility improvements and new construction. Each opportunity still depends on site feasibility, owner approvals, utility coordination and funding. Ask A and E about a specific site to move from a general idea to a defined scope.
